Art in General

Founded in 1981 in Lower Manhattan, Art in General is a nonprofit organization that assists artists with the production and presentation of new work. It changes in response to the needs of artists and engages the public with their work. In 25 years, the organization has emerged as one of New York City’s leading nonprofits devoted to supporting and stimulating the creation of contemporary art, providing an environment in which artists can exhibit unconventional work and exchange ideas with their peers. The Fine Art Adoption Network is commissioned by Art in General.

Arthouse

The mission of Arthouse is to promote the growth and appreciation of contemporary art and artists in Texas. Through its exhibitions and programs in Austin and statewide, Arthouse helps nurture artists’ careers and deepen public understanding of contemporary art. Arthouse not only plays a vital role in the cultural landscape of the community, but also functions as a resource for Texas-based artists. In addition to exhibitions and programming, Arthouse offers access to an Emergency Relief Fund, affordable health insurance, membership banking and credit union opportunities, and discounts on art materials and art publications.

Artspace

Artspace is an artist- and volunteer-run contemporary arts non-profit in New Haven, CT whose mission is to catalyze artistic efforts, connect artists, audiences, and resources, and redefine “art spaces”. Artspace’s core programs are the untitled(space) gallery, a lab for emerging curators featuring bi-monthly exhibitions of new work in all media; The Flatfile, a permanent feature of the gallery which showcases works on paper by 100 promising artists from the region; The Lot, an open parcel of land just off the Green run as a community public art space, also encompassing temporary public art projects; and City-Wide Open Studios, an annual visual arts festival featuring the work spaces of over 400 artists.

Delta Axis

Since its inception over fourteen years ago, Delta Axis has been the only non-profit organization in Memphis, TN dedicated exclusively to contemporary art, fulfilling a crucial role in one of the most creative and exciting arts communities in the South. The dialogue between local and national artists created by Delta Axis is critical to the success of our local arts community, which in turn is playing a key role in positioning Memphis as a world-class city. Delta Axis manages four outlets for visual arts in Memphis: Power House, Indie Memphis Film Festival, Delta Axis @ Marshall Arts, and MAX Biennial.

Gallery 400, University of Illinois at Chicago 9

The center for art exhibition and discourse at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Gallery 400 supports innovations in contemporary art, design and architecture through exhibitions, the Voices lecture series and special projects. Gallery 400’s primary goals include making the arts and artists accessible to a broad spectrum of the public; ensuring and cultivating a variety of cultural and intellectual perspectives; fostering an interdisciplinary understanding of the arts; and supporting artists by providing economic support, professional services and opportunities to make new work.

Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art

As a unique educational institution, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art collects, preserves, interprets and exhibits works of modern and contemporary art, architecture and design. By presenting innovative, challenging and culturally diverse exhibitions, publications and interdisciplinary programs on issues of social and cultural relevance, SMoCA seeks to promote intellectual inquiry and scholarship, inspire creative excellence and deepen an understanding of the contemporary visual environment in which we live.

Transformer

Transformer is a nonprofit, artist-centered arts organization in Washington, D.C. that connects and promotes emerging artists within regional, national, and international contexts. Partnering with artists, curators, art spaces, as well as commercial galleries, museums, and other cultural institutions, Transformer serves as a catalyst and advocate for emergent expression in the visual arts.
