I believe that this painting will find a great home with Kaye, an arts administrator just at the start of her career in Chicago. And the adoption process was FAAN at its best: Kaye learned about FAAN on a blog written by someone in the graduate program she had attended, she reviewed the site, she selected my painting, and she contacted me--all in the same day! I responded the following day, asking that she agree to get a frame for the piece. She replied that she was happy to do so, and the painting will be on its way to Chicago shortly. Kaye is a warm and open person, and the whole process (including a textured exchanged of e-mails) was completed within about 48 hours. Because, by happy coincidence, Kaye contacted me immediately after I had been exposed to some new art which I found very inspiring, the fact that she had responded with such immediacy to something I had made was particularly meaningful.
