This is an artwork composed by collaboration. I would like to invite someone to provide two images from which I will make a flip lenticular. I am setting the parameters to no larger than 8"x 8". We can discuss how to send the images later and I will post the final image on the net through my site or yours. This is a second collaboration. One has already been adopted.

Your Flip 2
artist: Heather Lowe

The adopter, qi peng, writes:

Heather is a fabulous artist whose challenging work with lenticular art is incredible. I decided to do this collaboration as something which ties in with my bipolar nature... Her work in both prints and paintings are with special qualities of combining optics with traditional geometric paintings.

I chose a picture of my girlfriend Marie appropriated from another unknown photographer (Richard Prince style) along with a rather odd black and white photograph I shot at the Blue Note cafe a few years ago. Again, this collaboration emphasizes the following dichotomies:

black and white photograph versus color photograph
object versus human
light versus dark
female versus male (jazz)
appropriated photo versus self-created (qi peng) photo
Heather Lowe versus qi peng
flip versus stable image
mechanically reproduced image versus planned, documentary image
skin versus metal

I just received the piece and it looks to be awesome. Thanks, Heather...

The artist, Heather Lowe, writes:

I received two photographs from qi peng that at first surprised me but as I began to combine them to make the lenticular, associations and
subtle relationships began to appear. I don't think I ever would have made this on my own but through collaboration I experienced something new. I will post it on my sklog, also.
