The artist, Erika Knerr, writes:

"I'm a psychologist. I research emotions.... In Coping Dance, I see a figure, holding on to a very dear thing. And then I saw a bird, bleeding, frozen, trying to fly. And then I saw a little girl, or maybe it was a man with his back turned. When I read the titles of the two pieces, they made perfect sense. "

This is a small excerpt of what Chu wrote me a few months ago. I love that he connected to the emotional impact of this series and that the drawing will be hung in a psychologists office.
