The Zone was unwrapped carefully in front of television cameras and my students responses were taped for a CBC show called School Zone with Catherine Harrop. The sculpture actually glows in the library where is has been installed - as a lamp above it illuminates the neon green of the tinted plexi.

Peter Gorham involved his 5th Grade class at Nackawic Elementary School, New Brunswick in adopting an artwork. The class almost unanimouly voted for Matt Freedman's Lost Puppy but there were two holdouts, Nicki and Josh, lobbying for Zone. I like their independence and I enjoy the idea that it will hang in their school library. Plus, I'm Canadian.
