I began this series of stereo paintings after studying cloud formations. Each piece has two painted panels that are fixed to a canvas backing. When the two panels are combined in the mind's eye, various layers recede and pop out. It was also important to me that the painting stand on its own without the added optical effect.

What a delightful experience we have had selecting our work of art and communicating with the artist about it. We find new things in Cloud #4 each day. One moment it's winking, the next mustachioed and yet another time it is the reflection seen in water. Thank you, Heather. We will cherish it always. The Gordon family

Deborah Gordon, when inquiring about this work, said something I really enjoyed hearing:
"We think it looks like it is winking at us."
It is off to happy faraway lands.
