An acrylic painting on canvas from a series done in 2002 about after images. It was exhibited in Los Angeles and Long Beach, once was chosen by Michael Darling of MOCA for a group show. The idea was to stare at the picture for about 40 seconds and look at a white wall to see the contrasting image.

I was very happy that Heather chose me to adopt this work (she also is a very pleasant individual as well!) since I just instantly connected with the work, and the themes running through it. I am not going to go into a dissertation about those themes, but the juxtaposition of life and death has always intrigued me.
I also was delighted that I would be able to put some actual art by a strong female artist on my walls. It's difficult (okay, impossible) to find an artist of her caliber where I live.
SO MANY people have commented on how much they love the work when they enter my house, where it has a place of honor. This is a very powerful work by a very special artist, and I thank her from the bottom of my heart.

My wish came true. A complete stranger wants to adopt my work. I will let Leslie add more details, if she wants.
This is a favorite of mine and since it is so difficult to assign a monetary value, it's almost all or nothing (I am sure artists will understand this attitude.)
Anyway, her genuine interest makes me realize that it is going to a good home.
