This is a framed photograph of an Oktoberfest billboard taken from the empty parking lot of the Great Escape amusement park in Lake George, New York. It is a place an hour north of where I grew up and where I spent some leisure time during my childhood. This image was taken after the park was closed for the season in the fall. This work is one of the first times I used a billboard image. It has become an ongoing symbol that is used in my work in different ways.
