Statement:

My work investigates the physical world as it vacillates between raw materials and known objects, and explores the way that these transformations intersect with lived experience. I am drawn to objects and materials that are easy to overlook or discard yet are widely familiar and used on an everyday basis. Much of my work explores the tensions between fixed meanings and the emotional states that arise when the meaning of objects shift, so that the work examines not only the cultural significance of objects, but also how they change over time and become entangled in the messy stuff of our personal lives.

I would like to give these pieces to people who do not normally collect sculpture. There is a certain amount of responsibility involved in owning and displaying some of my more fragile work, so I've made note of this in the work's description. As far as transportation goes, the adoptive owner would be responsible for shipping costs, though I might be able to help with labor.
