this trophy is up for adoption. she enjoys glass cabinets, breakfronts, fireplace mantles, and bookshelves. her descendents include but are not limited to trophy wives and the golden calf. she embodies the essential form of a contemporary offering and praise, and so she has chosen to make herself available to those who seek her gifts. her role allows a new parent the continual reminder of self acknowledgement, accomplishment, and reward. gold-leafed and sealed, over a plastercraft and newspaper/wire structure with a sparkly contac-paper covered styrofoam base, Trophy (11) offers both projection and reflection in a new home.

Trophy (11)
artist: Fawn Krieger

The artist, Fawn Krieger, writes:

trophy 11 has found a home with a 12 year old boy who has told me he has many trophies already in his room (which is good because i know it will then have many friends). he likes this trophy because "it is not of a specific thing so i can use my imagination to picure what sport or event that golden part is carved into." his mom adds, "you have made a little boy very happy and helped turn him into an art lover for life!". i am so moved that the gift of art is also like a little budding plant, a gift of love that can continue to expand and grow and move into other hands and lives. energy manifested.
