When I first scanned the art available for adoption, this photography of Elizabeth's really jumped out at me. I love the composition in particular -- it is clearly a photo of a specific time and place, but because the subjects' faces are hidden, it has a universal and timeless quality to it. The play of light and dark areas in the foreground and in the reflection are also very interesting.

I was very excited when Elizabeth told me that she selected me to adopt her art. She met me in a coffee shop for the hand off, and she kindly gave me some background info on the photo and the people in it. She couldn't have been nicer.

I'm in the process of getting the work framed now, and I can't wait to see it on my wall! Thanks to FAAN and Elizabeth for making this happen.
