hydrocal, apoxie sculpt
Sculpture
Completed in: 2004
12 x 4 x 9 inches & 2 lbs.
Near or in Brooklyn, NY / United States
artist: Daniel Wiener
The adopter, Leslie Connors, writes:
First, Daniel was incredibly pleasant about the entire adoption process. Thank you, Daniel!
Secondly, the kids that I work with are obsessed with your sculpture! It has led to some very interesting conversations about "wriggling" and feelings. It gives them the freedom to express what they are thinking by using the sculpture and talking about what it must be like to be "trapped" (a word they use).
I couldn't have asked for a better adoption, and I am so happy it turned out so well.
The artist, Daniel Wiener, writes:
Leslie wrote me and said that the piece was "whimsical, fun yet also resonates with more profundity". What more could an artist ask for? She also plans to keep the sculpture in her office where she does psychotherapy. Another plus - maybe the sculpture will play a role in the unconscious lives of her clients.
NOTE FOR LESLIE: For some reason my email is not going through to you. I think there is some problem on your end. Anyway, I plan to send the piece to you on August 1, the earliest available date for me. If you see this please email me... perhaps with another email address.
Thanks. Daniel
