Little Brown Barf bag comes from an edition of 43 screenprinted kraft paper bags. Up for adoption are several of the H.C.s, which stands for Hors Commerce. In the printmaking world that means "not part of the edition and not for sale" In my case, the H.C. prints are pretty screwed up and not worthy of joining the proper edition, however they are still recognizable and funny (in my opinion). They are signed on the inside of the bag but not numbered. The picture shown is of a good one. The ones up for adoption are somewhat flawed.

Little Brown Barf Bag (H.C.)
artist: Sarah Nicole Phillips

The adopter, Carolina Ferreras, writes:

Well, as i mentioned to Sarah on my first email to her, i didn't really pay much attention to her piece at first as i didn't think there was anything stricking about it. Of course that was before i took the time to actually take a closer look and read what was printed on the bag. I soon realized i felt like quite a fool for having ignored such a witty piece and just had to have it.
I absolutety love my Little Brown Barf Bag! This whole adoption process has been so fun and rewarding. I feel really lucky to now own such great work.
