This is a work from a show at Sara Meltzer's waaaaaaaay back. The show was called 'You are HERE". The works were meditations on environmental, physical, and psychological threats-if you will. It goes deeper than that, but at the time I didn't realize it. This is cibrchrome mounted to plexi- with brackets on the back for hanging- tho I have since decided they look better framed- so gently pry the brackets off the back and put it in a black or white frame. Their liquid environments resonate better when contained. Come pick it up in Chelsea , or, pay $50.00 for packing and shipping.

Just adopted my second FAAN work from artist Dave Krueger. He was kind enough to have me in his home for a cup of coffee and a chat. I really love this website because it’s a really interesting and intimate way to meet artists, to get to know them and their work a bit. He showed me some of his other work, some from the series that my piece came from. Really interesting because I had been thinking about the use of photography to capture and invoke other media, textures, etc. and then happened upon the piece. I really liked it, but I took about a month to think about it – kept thinking about it and returned to the site a lot to look at it -- so I then sent an email inquiring about adoption. Couldn’t be happier with the work. Hope to have it framed by the end of the year.

Hallie Hobson is settling into her Senior Development Officer work with MoMA New York; a seque from her years in the non-profit world. She wrote and described her interest in photography that effectively conveys other media, like the liquid/submerged/luminous quality this series presents. Exactly the eye that I'd posted these works for. She came to pick up the piece and we talked over coffee. It came up that she is originally from Atlanta, a city that is now experiencing depletion of it's water supply. This is something I've only heard about on NPR and WBAI. Stunning to say the least. She's a great adoptee; appreciative, charming and full of life; a poet and playwright as well. I hope that living with this piece will give her much pleasure and maybe even inspire foregrounding the subject of water in some of her writing. Cheers!
